Description: The Merit Shop Training and Research Center (MSTRC) Scholarships are designed to support post-secondary education in the construction industry.  The MSTRC was established several years ago by ABC Keystone as a non-profit fund whose mission to provide financial assistance to students who have chosen construction-related careers. The Center is funded by members of the Chapter who have taken the responsibility for being proactive in assisting men and women in the preparation for this industry. Description: Mid Penn Bank's Anna Woodside Scholarship rewards four outstanding high school seniors with $1,000 for college tuition costs.  To be considered, applicants must prove dedication to academic excellence and community service.  Applicants must be high school seniors who reside within Mid Penn Bank's service area.  Applicants must enroll full-time at an accredited college, university or vocational school in the United States for the fall 2026 term.  Employees of Mid Penn Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.  Customers and non-customers are welcome to apply. Description: Keystone State Literacy Association Brandywine Valley Forge is a local organization promoting literacy in Chester, Montgomery, and Berks Counties.  Each year they present the Annette T. Rabin Memorial Scholarship in the form of a $1,000 award to a graduating senior from the local area who is planning to pursue a degree in education. The main requirements of the application include a short essay, a GPA of at least 3.0, and acceptance into an education program at an accredited college for Fall 2026.  Complete details are available with the online application.

Description: The Arbor Insurance Group Scholarship was established for deserving students who are currently enrolled as a high school senior.  The $1,500 scholarship can be used towards future higher-education related costs.  To apply, submit a short video (max. 30 seconds) that explains how you support your community and how it is important to you; provide most recent report card and transcripts; and submit a letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your involvement in the local community.  Complete details are available at their website.

Description: $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Berks County high school senior that is planning to pursue a major or associate degree in the arts.  Applicants must be seniors at a Berks County high school, and display proven artistic ability in one or more of the following mediums: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, fine craft, fine art photography, or digital media.  Applicants must submit proof of at least a 3.0 GPA; proof of college acceptance as a visual arts, art education, or commercial arts major at a fully-accredited college or university for Fall 2026; a completed application including a 250-500 word essay; two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must be from an art teacher, and 10 images of their work.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Description: The Beneficial Society Victor Emmanuel II is once again offering its Annual College Scholarship up to $16,000, payable at the rate of $4,000 per year for up to four years. Description: Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County is proud to honor the memory of Dorothy Klausing Bentley.  Three $500 scholarships are available to a direct relative of a breast cancer survivor to attend a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program.  The recipients of the scholarship must demonstrate a financial need.  Applicants must meet the following criteria:  must be in good academic standing; must be residents of Berks County are planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college or graduate school program; must be a direct relative of a breast cancer survivor; must demonstrate financial need; transcript and scholarship evaluation must accompany the application. Description: The Pennsylvania American Legion offers a number of scholarships for the children/grandchildren of PA Legion members (living or deceased).  Highlights of scholarships available include the Sebastianelli Drum Corps Scholarship, for students that are a member of a high school band and are going on to higher education with a major in music; the Joseph P. Gavenonis Scholarship, which is available for graduating students that will be seeking a four-year degree in a Pennsylvania college or university; the Robert W. Valimont Endowment, which aids graduating seniors seeking a two-year career oriented education or training in a less-than-four-year program in a PA school; and the Robert Trace Essay Contest, which is also open to a child of a Pennsylvania solider killed as a result of the war on terrorism.  Please see the PA American Legion's website for complete details on all these scholarships.

Description: The PA Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is sponsoring its 9th annual  Innovations Challenge, which encourages students to use their problem-solving, creative and strategic-thinking abilities to solve real-world transportation challenges in a competition among their peers. The Innovations Challenge is open to all students in grades 9-12.  For this year's challenge, students are asked to develop a concept for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in work zones to dramatically improve safety for work crews and road users.  The concept must outline how PennDOT can use smarter systems to prevent crashes and protect those who are working to build a better Pennsylvania.  The concept should also take into consideration cost-benefit information, statewide deployment implications, as well as public outreach.  For complete Innovations Challenge details, visit www.penndot.pa.gov/innovation and click on the PennDOT Innovations Challenge link.

Description: The PSBA Trust's 2026 Student Leader Scholarships provide a one-time award of up to $2,5000 or $5,000 to graduating seniors from PSBS member districts who have demonstrated ongoing leadership and meet the criteria for one of the four available scholarship categories.  Each award is named to honor the first chair or president of the following:  The Pennsylvania Public Education Foundation, the Pennsylvania School Safety Institute, PSBA, and the PSBA Trust. 

• The Frerichs Scholarship recognizes students planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in education.
• The Marcus Scholarship supports students planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in public safety, criminology, forensics, or other law enforcement or safety major.
• The H.H. Quimby Scholarship honors students who have served as a student representative to their local school board during their high school academic career.
• The Swope Scholarship recognizes students planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in the arts.

Description: This scholarship recognizes and supports local high school seniors that have been confronted with adverse life circumstances, but worked to overcome them.  This scholarship is available to graduating Berks County high school seniors who have overcome adversity in their lives to successfully complete high school, and will be continuing on to higher education and an accredited university, college, or trade school. Winners will meet the following criteria:  demonstrate a strong commitment to academics in high school; demonstrate perseverance over challenging life circumstances to better themselves; exhibit a strong desire for personal growth and success.  To apply, complete the online application.  Write an essay describing how the following quote from Maya Angelou applies to their lives and circumstances:  "I can be changed by what happens to me.  I refuse to be reduced by it."  The selection committees may, but need not, consider financial need when selecting recipients. Description: The Linn Family wishes to inspire and assist a student-athlete in pursuing the Linn family's life-long passion for education through a four-year college scholarship.  This scholarship will be awarded to a Gov. Mifflin graduating senior who is a varsity letter winner and attending a four-year college/university with a major in education.  Financial need will be taken into consideration.

Description: In memory of Marilyn Caltagirone, who was the choreographer of 49 GMHS musicals. Description: The Berks County Vietnam Veterans will award $300 to an applicant who has a family member who has served at any time on active duty in the United States military.  Must be a senior with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better, planning to attend college or trade school following graduation.  Student must be of good character and have financial need.

Description: This $2,500 scholarship in memory of Will and Fran Hull & Eric Pfisterer will be awarded to a Gov. Mifflin senior who has suffered the loss of a sibling or parent.  The scholarship will be given to a senior who has a desire to further their education in either a technical school or college/university.  In addition to the application, a short essay is required explaining the challenges you have faced with the grief of losing a sibling or parent.  Essay must be typed.
