About Mr. Murray, Principal

It is a pleasure to serve the greater Governor Mifflin community as the high school principal.  I am a graduate of GMHS, a community member, and a parent.  Each day, I am honored to have the opportunity to work alongside our staff and students to help them achieve their goals.

Our educational programs are created to serve the needs and interests of our students.  This work supports our mission to educate while inspiring and empowering every student, every day.

About Ms. Taylor, Associate Principal

Life-long learning involves stepping out of your comfort zone in order to grow. This idea not only influenced my own educational journey, but also guides my work today. I spent my high school years in Quakertown, Pennsylvania and went on to Kutztown University for my bachelor’s degree in secondary education. Upon graduation, I ventured off to the largest district in the U.S. – New York City. Here, I gained my teacher training wheels in the South Bronx. After that, I trekked cross-country to California where I continued teaching in both Oakland and Los Angeles. During my time out West, I wanted to challenge myself and seek out new perspectives. Thus, I took a gap year and traveled to Europe and Asia as a solo female traveler where I gained insight into different cultures and education systems before gaining admission to UCLA. It was there that I earned my master’s degree in education while also serving as their Assistant Director of the Undergraduate Writing Center.

While I was away, I also realized that life-long learning isn’t a solo act. It involves the ability to share and collaborate in that growth with others. So with that, I came back full circle and brought my experiences to my home state of Pennsylvania and continued teaching. Before joining the Governor Mifflin family, I taught at Reading High School as I worked on my second master’s degree and principal certification. I am now happy to say that I am a part of Mustang Nation as the associate principal for Governor Mifflin High School. It is both a privilege and an honor to serve the Governor Mifflin community in this capacity. I’m happy to be a part of the team and look forward to the successes that are to come.

About Mr. Miller, Associate Principal

Hello Mustang Nation!

I am so excited to start the 2022-2023 school year as one of your Associate Principals. Over the last 15 years, I have served as a social studies teacher and coach in the Penn Manor, Gov. Mifflin, and Boyertown School Districts. As a 2003 graduate of Governor Mifflin, I am honored to be able to serve the students of my hometown.

Through my education and coaching career, I developed the philosophy that genuine and positive relationships lead to successful outcomes. As Associate Principal, I strive to get to know our students and staff and find ways to support them so they can achieve their goals. Whether it be through conversations in the hall, attending music and athletic events, or stopping into classrooms, I’m looking forward to getting to know our students and staff and see them succeed in all aspects of their lives.

As a Gov. Mifflin alumni, it is exciting to see the progressive changes at Gov. Mifflin. We offer our students a learning experience that allows everybody to grow academically and socially. I am honored to help lead a staff that embodies our school mission of “empowering and inspiring every student, every day”. Our school district values the importance of academic excellence while giving our students a first-class extra-curricular experience. Between our academic, athletics, music and arts, and clubs you’ll find Mustang Nation leading the way to advance our school and community.

We are looking forward to a great year!
