BCTC Winter Weather Guidelines

BCTC students should monitor communications from BCTC and GMSD – websites and social media pages for updates to determine the expectations for the day.

BCTC is in-session, but GMHS has NO school:

  • Students will not report to BCTC on this type of day.
  • BCTC students are expected to log into their Schoology accounts and complete and submit all assignments by the established due date and participate in any and all scheduled live virtual sessions
    with their teacher.

BCTC is in-session, and GMHS is operating on a two-hour delay bell schedule:

  • Students will not report to BCTC on this type of day. Students have two options:
    • In the morning, they can arrive at the high school on their regular bus and report directly to study hall until their classes (Block 5/6 – lunch block) begin at 10:35 a.m. For attendance purposes, all BCTC students must sign in at the cafeteria upon their arrival.
    • Or, report directly to the high school no later than 10:30 a.m. Students must find their own transportation; the district will NOT provide busing for students wishing to use this option. For attendance purposes, all BCTC students must sign in at the Attendance Office upon their arrival.
  • BCTC students are not expected to log into their Schoology accounts, and the BCTC day will be made up at a later date. Students may choose to continue working on assignments in Schoology at their leisure.
